As part of its intervention strategy in China, the French Development Agency (AFD) contributes to the improvement of public policiesfor biodiversity conservation, disseminate European, French and Chinese best practices and enhance bilateral and international cooperation towards the overall achievement of the objectives of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework.
AFD organizes this side-event to share the main results of the past and on-going scientific cooperations regarding the conservation and sustainable management of protected territories on three specific areas: i) the governance of protected areas; ii) the connectivity of protected areas and iii) the involvement of local communities in the management of protected areas.
