Event ID: 56 Title: Breaking Barriers, Building Futures: Intergenerational Dialogue in the WNBR

This side event explores the transformative potential of intergenerational collaboration within UNESCO's Man and the Biosphere (MAB) Programme and its World Network of Biosphere Reserves (WNBR). It highlights how intergenerational dialogue can serve as a systemic approach to inclusive and resilient sustainability governance. Through keynote and case study presentations from different MAB regions, followed by interactive group discussions, participants will reflect on opportunities and challenges in bridging generations. The session aims to inspire stakeholders to integrate intergenerational cooperation more systematically in biosphere reserve management, education, and policy-making, recognizing the mutual potential of all age groups.
