Event ID 80 Title: Biodiversity conservation in the Belt and Road Initiative countries of Eurasia

This side event aims to highlight the biodiversity conservation efforts in the Belt and Road Initiative countries of Eurasia, with the objective to ensure and strengthen three core missions of Biosphere areas: biodiversity conservation, sustainable economic development, and support for research, education and capacity building. The event will bring together scientists, policy makers, and practitioners to exchange knowledge, share case studies and explore cooperation opportunities. Through workshops, panel discussion, and resource mapping it will foster regional cooperation and exchanges, and promote integrated conservation and sustainable resource utilization in the MAB and its surrounding areas.
