Event ID: 26 Title: Entrepreneurial BR: Innovative business models and strategic collaborations for sustainable capacity building
Biosphere reserves often depend on public funding. Adopting entrepreneurial activities, such as services and products inspired by the objectives of the MAB Programme, can strengthen financial autonomy and organizational resilience. This approach builds their capacity to meet local needs, forge partnerships, and generate income while showcasing and developing expertise in biodiversity, land management, public participation, and sustainable tourism. Two biosphere reserves pioneering this model will share implementation strategies, key success factors, common challenges, and tools for scaling impact.
