Event ID: 48 Title: Enhancing Management Synergy between Biosphere Reserves and Other International Designations in Multi-Internationally Designated Areas (MIDAs)
This side event will explore ways to strengthen cooperation and synergy among Biosphere Reserves that are part of Multi-Internationally Designated Areas (MIDAs), sites designated under more than one international framework, such as the UNESCO MAB Programme, the World Heritage Convention, the UNESCO Global Geoparks and the Ramsar Convention. With MIDAs increasing worldwide, it is vital to understand their characteristics and impacts on BR management. The workshop will share good practices and encourage dialogue among stakeholders. The event aims to foster mutual understanding, identify innovative approaches for integrated management, and promote cross-designation collaboration that supports biosphere conservation, sustainable development.
